Mail-In Voting Comes Down to One Issue: Trust

Originally published August 18, 2020 The latest Democrat conspiracy theory, cooked up in the bowels of Capitol Hill, served by the newsrooms in New York and Los Angeles, and eaten by the gullible masses of Democratic voters, is that the Trump administration is waging a war on the Postal Service. The brilliance of this conspiracy theory is the simple assumed premise that mail-in voting is not only necessary, but inevitable for the upcoming elections this November. The evolution and dissemination of the conspiracy theory is  well-documented  and ultimately irrelevant. Mail-in voting cannot be allowed in the upcoming election because elections, to be considered “legitimate," must have a basis of trust. In the most politically divided time in a half a century, is there any side of the political aisle that trusts the other not to do whatever it can to win? Look at a small sampling of comments over the pas

Kamala Harris: Not Pragmatic, Not Moderate

Originally published August 19, 2020 Last week, Joe Biden picked who is running in his stead against Donald Trump, and it’s the radical leftist Senator from California Kamala Harris. Yes, the same Kamala Harris who insinuated that Biden was a racist, and said she believed his sexual assault victim is now the successor to the man who called himself a “transition” candidate and who the majority of voters don’t think will make it through his first term. The nation’s Democrats have already formed opinions about Harris, and they were not good. At her primary peak in July 2019, she was in a three-way tie for second place with Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren at 15%, but she mostly hovered in the single digits. She dropped out before the first ballot was cast because she was out of money and the polling in her home state of California was at 7%. The media reaction to her dropout was a mixture

Media Plays Cover-Up So Puppet Can Become President

Originally published August 12, 2020 The 2020 Presidential election is less than a hundred days away, but coverage of the race has become close to non-existent because of coronavirus. Luckily for the Democratic Party, Joe Biden doesn’t need to run a campaign, because the media is doing all the work for him. COVID-19 is the perfect excuse for the former Vice President. The largest obstacle for Biden’s campaign is clearly the Presidential debates, so the media is desperately trying to get rid of them.  The New York Times  recently published an opinion article entitled, “Let’s Scrap the Presidential Debates.” A month ago, Thomas Friedman wrote another article setting conditions for a debate: that Trump should release his tax returns and that Trump should agree to a real-time fact checker. Knowing that both of those conditions would not occur, Friedman ended the article by saying, “

Cuomo Uses COVID To Extend Dictatorship

Originally published July 29, 2020 While the Chinese virus continues to spread throughout the world, the Governor of the hardest hit State in the Union is taking a brief hiatus from committing the COVID equivalent of germ warfare on nursing homes to extend his powers far beyond the abilities of his office. Andrew Cuomo has used his newfound celebrity status among the media elite to bring nearly every aspect of life in New York under his boot heel. Like all good dictators, Cuomo has the benefit of a state media that succumbs to his every whim and a one-party system of government. Since the Democrats took majority power in the State Senate in the blue wave of 2018, there has been no check on Cuomo’s wildest impulses. If 2019 was the year that fulfilled Cuomo’s wish list, 2020 was the year when Cuomo was able to finally surpass the legislature completely. He was able to do this by using the pa

A Conversation With New York City Councilman Rory Lancman

Originally published July 22, 2020 With the rise in crime in and around New York City, the Queens Jewish community is growing more and more concerned with the direction the city has been taking regarding criminal justice reform and the relationship with the police. Some of these measures included ending cash bail, closing Rikers Island, and creating community jails closer to the courthouse. Councilman Rory Lancman, who represents the 24 th  City Council district (which covers Kew Gardens Hills, Fresh Meadows, Hillcrest, Jamaica Estates, Briarwood, and more), has been a strong advocate for much of these policy changes. When discussing the issues with Councilman Lancman, he seemed incredibly concerned about the increase in crime around the city, but was confident that those issues would not hit his constituents. “The district that I represent is safe,” Lancman said. “Crime i

Trump’s Mask Goes On, Media Masks Come Off

Originally published July 15, 2020 This week, in a visit to Walter Reed Medical Center, President Donald Trump was photographed and videoed wearing a mask. The reaction by members of the media is just an example of a media that is no longer hiding its bias. The masks of media objectivity are off, and continuously exposing this is Trump’s best road to re-election. First up is Jake Tapper, who is normally the most even-keeled anchor on CNN (although when you are compared to Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo, it’s not hard to look competent). After the photo of the mask-wearing Trump was released, Tapper tweeted, “Some day someone will do a study on how many lives might have been saved if this happened in February or March.” Tapper hasn’t been as insane as his colleagues on praising New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s horrific and awful measures taken during the pandemic, but he also has never once sug

Where Are Our Leaders

Originally published July 8, 2020 This past week saw a massive surge in the defamation, desecration, and destruction of the history of the United States of America. The ire of the mob is no longer limited to protesting police brutality or Confederate statues – perhaps it never was. The goal of the far-left is to burn down the country and hope that from the ashes a better system somehow emerges. Few, if any, of our elected leaders seem to have the political will to stop them. Back in 2017, when there was a major protest at a statue of Robert E. Lee, President Trump predicted that the calls to demolish American history would not be limited to the former Confederacy. “I wonder, is it George Washington next week?” Trump asked. “And is it Thomas Jefferson the week after? You really have to ask yourself, where does it stop?” This question was met with mockery from the media, but Trump was right on the mark. Not on

Where Have All The Pro-Israel Democrats Gone?

Originally published July 1, 2020 This week, New York State held its Primary elections for the 2020 cycle. The big news coming out of that election is the defeat of Eliot Engel, the 30-year veteran Democrat, to the radically left-wing Jamaal Bowman, who was a Justice Democrats pick in the mold of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib. Engel is no moderate Democrat, and never has been. He’s for single-payer healthcare. He’s advocated for abortion on demand since the 1990s. He’s a gun-grabber with an “F” rating from the NRA. These stances used to be the left-wing of the Democratic Party, but now they are the bare minimum to be considered a “progressive.” One area of policy that Engel doesn’t conform with the modern Socialist left is Israel. Engel has been incredibly supportive of Israel throughout his tenure in the House of Representatives. When he was a freshman Congre

The Left Has Jumped The Shark

Originally published June 17, 2020 What was once a popular movement dedicated to the betterment of the country is now a ridiculous excuse for a political party, dominated by the extremist radicals who make up their base of support. The Democrats have shown their hand many times before this, but they have done what The Fonz did when he donned a leather jacket and water skis: They jumped the shark. They have become so ridiculous that they are no longer recognizable. Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and many others in the Democratic leadership donned a Kente cloth scarf and kneeled for a photo-op in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. This is pandering on the deepest level. First, this was mere days after Pelosi ripped President Trump for his own photo-op of holding a Bible outside St. John’s Church, which was set ablaze the previous night. While chastising Trump for using the Bible as a prop,

Democratic Primary Challengers Easy On Socialism, Tough On Israel

Originally published June 10, 2020 In August 2019, the Queens District Attorney race was narrowly won by Melinda Katz, a center-left Democrat who was the Borough President at the time. Her victory in the Democratic Primary came after a recount, as Tiffany Cabán, the public defender with only a few years of experience, almost pulled off as shocking a victory as Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez achieved the year before. That election became the push the Queens Jewish community needed to begin a registration drive. AOC’s challenger is Michelle Caruso-Cabrera, a far more moderate Democrat Shortly after the election, a video featuring some of the most prominent rabbinical leaders in Queens began circulating, urging Jewish voters to register as Democrats so the Jewish community’s voice would be heard. The thinking was that whichever Democrat wins the primary will w

Who Benefits From These Riots?

Originally published June 3, 2020 Since the murder of George Floyd, a black man in Minnesota who was suffocated to death by a white police officer, American cities have been subject to protests, riots, and looting by those who seek to use this tragic event to their own personal and political gain. This is being pushed along by the Democrats and the media, who are one entity at this point, in an attempt to gain an electoral edge. There are legitimate protests popping up around the country, which is a guaranteed right of every American. However, these protests are occurring in many cities where COVID lockdowns are still in place. The same mayors and governors who lambasted their constituents for walking in the park or sitting on a beach are sitting idly amidst the decidedly non-socially distant protests. To highlight the hypocrisy, one needs to look no further than New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. O
